Boston's long-running Beat Research brings in Geko Jones, a NYC-based DJ who's been burning up the "tropical" bass scene with his deep reworkings of traditional and popular Afro-Latin dance music. While his Dutty Artz comrades—Uproot Andy, Matt Shadetek, DJ Rupture, Lamin Fofana—have all played here, this will be Geko's Boston premiere. He's the co-host of the popular party, Que Bajo?!, and is just back from a tour that brought him to Colombia and SXSW.
